Historic Chester law firm Jolliffe & Co appoints administrators | Law Gazette
Jolliffe & Co had described itself as 'Chester’s best kept secret'.
The Law Society Gazette reported on Friday 22nd August that Chester firm Jolliffe & Co have entered into administration.
We have two current cases against Jolliffe & Co : one where the court ordered repayment of a sum wrongly taken from client account, and one where Jolliffe & Co have, themselves, accepted that they took excessive costs from an estate. The firm failed to make the ordered / offered refunds and we reported matters to the Solicitors Regulation Authority in June. We are currently corresponding with Jolliffe & Co's professional indemnity insurers.
