How to Check your Solicitor's Record

You can check your solicitor's record by using the search function on the site of the Solicitors Regulation Authority. Just insert either the surname of the individual solicitor, or the firm name, and you will be presented with a list of potentially relevant matches. Clicking on an individual search result will bring up a summary of any action taken by the SRA and the outcome of any decision by the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal.

If your solicitor was referred to the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal you can get full details of any judgment by using the search function on the SDT website.
